This wildlife refuge will assist sick, orphaned and injured wildlife and return them back to their natural habitat. They admit herpetofauna as well as rabies vector species, birds, small mammals, carnivore, ungulates, semi-aquatic mammals, and raptors. They will collect and incubate turtle eggs from deceased turtles.
The majority of their volunteer base consists of young offenders, at risk youth and adult offenders. They offer them an opportunity for meaningful activities which impact the environment and the people involved, in a positive way.
