“Putting the brakes on turtle loss”

Earthroots is fighting to reduce turtle road mortality in the province with the installation of wildlife underpasses along roadways. We have analyzed data from the Ontario Turtle Conservation Centre (OTCC) and have determined the top six areas with the deadliest roads in Ontario for freshwater turtles. We will be working with municipal councils to bring light to this issue and work together to improve the high-risk roads in each of these areas by creating safe passages for our turtles.
